Scar revision

Scar revision is surgery to improve or reduce the appearance of scars. It also restores function, and corrects skin changes (disfigurement) caused by an injury, wound, or previous surgery.

Scars are visible that remains on skin after an injury or accident. If the scar be superficial, will be removed and recovered naturally, but deep scars may recovered by surgery.

There are various type of scar:

Discoloration scars

These types of scars are the most common type of scar, that create due to natural process of the body. These scars are dark or red. These scars bulging after recovery time, but become discolored over time.

Hypertropic scars

These scars develop directly at a wound site, and are raised and red. They may become wide over time. There is risk of remaining these kind of scars on your body for few years.

Keloid scars

Sometimes, scar tissue grows more than normal way and appears as a keloid (excess meat) on your body. These kind of scar commonly appears on face, neck and ear.
