Revision rhinoplasty is a secondary surgical procedure which is done to correct defects of the nose such as, crooked nose, nasal deviated septum or breathing problem. In this surgery, choosing the best and skilled surgeon, is so important, because it directly affects on result of surgery.
In some cases, some surgeons might not consider some details. Or patients are not satisfied about their appearance after primary nose surgery. So, they decide to perform revision rhinoplasty. For instance, in bony nose surgeries, and due to their thin skin, procedures or changes will be appeared on the nose, so, any small faults or deformity may irritate the patients. During this surgery, surgeons have limitation, and this makes revision rhinoplasty more difficult and complex.
Reasons of revision rhinoplasty

Result and outcome of the revision rhinoplasty depends on amount of damages in primary surgery. So, patients should have realistic expectation about the outcome of surgery, they can not reach all desirable results and wants. This surgery needs more accuracy and even skill and knowledge.
As with all types of surgery, there are potential complications associated with revision rhinoplasty. These may include adverse anesthesia reactions, incomplete improvement, infection, bleeding, infection, congestion, runny nose and the need for additional surgery.
